Akhilesh Yadav has understood the importance of promoting tourism in the state as means of an economic boost, employment of youth, and of course to improve visibility. Under the young Chief Minister, Uttar Pradesh Film Vikas Parishad is planning to develop various locations in the state as a favourable film destination to attract Bollywood and Hollywood. The most recent project being to restore Chitrakoot and its historical significance.
“If the proposal of Film Vikas Parishad gets shape, the day would not be far when Bollywood stars like Salman Khan, Ranveer Singh, Kareena Kapoor would be seen shooting in the area,” Film Vikas Parishad, member, Vishal Kapoor said. This multi-action plan is aimed at developing the infrastructure for shooting of the films; promoting the place an important tourism destination and generating various opportunities for the people.
It would not only provide employment opportunities but would also prove an important tool for promoting tourism as per vision of the Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav. Kamadgiri and Ramghat falling under Chitrakoot may prove an ideal location for the shooting of the films, according to the Uttar Pradesh Film Vikas Parishad. Since these areas have a major population of minority communities, the religious leaders were also consulted. They not only appreciated the proposal but also wished to be a part of the road map to help the youth, as much as they can.
Social Samajwadi is looking forward to Chitrakoot being developed as a film destination.
