At the event, Akhilesh Yadav wished Uttar Pradesh a very happy Diwali and said, “Samajwadi Party had promised to electrify the state 3 years back and has delivered its promise. This proves that ‘Kaam Bolta Hai’. In the last 4.5 years the amount of work Samajwadi Party has done for the development of the state, no other government even comes close. The electricity in the state was extremely poor when we came to power in 2012. But today, everyone can see the difference! Samajwadi Party has established multiple power plants along with reviving the old infrastructure. The power generation capacity within the state has doubled.”

This feat, also makes Akhilesh Yadav the first CM to lay the foundation stone and inaugurate the power plants of this magnitude in its own term. This goes on to prove that this dynamic leader has taken the charge completely in his hands for the upliftment of the state. Akhilesh Yadav also mentioned that the Super Critical Power Plant in Aligarh was Mulayam Singh’s dream which he took forward.

To register the complaints of the residents regarding electricity, a specific call centre has been setup by Akhilesh Government. To deposit the electricity bill, people have the facility to do so online now. This facility is being enjoyed by 33 lakh users and by the end of the year, IT department hopes to connect almost 1 crore people to this service and there is a mobile app for the same.

Social Samajwadi would like to thank Akhilesh Yadav for this special Diwali gift on behalf of the entire state.
