On 2nd May, 2016 the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Akhilesh Yadav visited Ballia to meet the people and inaugurate multiple schemes. He was greeted by the residents with a lot of warmth and love. But the development plans which the CM had for Ballia left the crowd overjoyed. Let’s have a look at how the visit went.

To start with, Akhilesh Yadav told the residents that now, like Samajwadi Ambulance Service, police force will reach the needy in less than 10 minutes. The people will not have to visit the police station anymore. They can call the helpline and the UP Police will be at their doorsteps in case of an emergency. This initiative will help maintain law and order in the area and make the people feel more secure.

“Our dial 100 service is the fastest in the country and the cops reach the spot within 10 minutes. Very soon, there will be no need for a complainant to go to the police station. The police will be at your doorstep,”Akhilesh Yadav reassured the people.

The CM also informed the people of the work in progress to connect Ballia with the Lucknow-Agra Expressway. This infrastructure development will connect the district to multiple important districts hence giving their economy a boost.

He laid the foundation stone for a power station and a sports university in the district. To honour the ex prime minister of India, Chadra Shekhar the state government has decided to name the college after him. At the event, he also announced modifications in the Samajwadi Pension Plan which has been extended to cover 55 lakh people. He distributed Kanya Vidya Dhan and Samajwadi Pension to the beneficiaries in Ballia. Along with it, the young CM explained the benefits of various schemes to women and how they can make the best of it, like the Lohia Awaas Yojna and others.

By the end of the event, the people were extremely happy by the schemes and the far sightedness of the Samajwadi Party. Akhilesh Yadav and his development plans for Ballia are truly remarkable.
