You are doing something right when the opposition takes notice!
This holds true for Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Akhilesh Yadav who has been focusing on development ever since he assumed office in 2012. He has been applauded by many people for his efforts and perseverance for making the state happier and more prosperous. But this time, when a Bollywood star praised him, everyone knew that there must be something really great about this CM. And even better, when she is a member of parliament from the biggest opposition party, BJP.
We are talking about Hema Malini who in a recent interview expressed admiration towards Akhilesh Yadav for the work done by him in the state for an overall development. She said, “It was good that the CM has focused on the all-round development of the state.” After a meeting with the chief minister, she also lauded him for his efforts to restore the cultural and religious spirits of Lucknow, Vrindavan, and Ayodhya.
BJP MP from Mathura, Hema Malini knows that Akhilesh Yadav is working on promoting dance and music of the state, along with all other art forms. Hence she suggested that the state government should also look into restoring the extinct historical ‘kotha’ culture of the Oudh and it should solely be to boost art and singing. She also mentioned that it shouldn’t be taken in any wrong sense. “Like Devdasi culture of the South, music and the dance in Oudh’s kotha’s were also dedicated to God. They were centres for learning of music, dance, song, culture and etiquettes. With passage of time, art and culture was replaced with exploitation of women. I request the chief minister to restore the kotha culture as in the past without any ills plaguing them. Lots of Hindi films and TV series depict kothas but artists have only books and stories to learn about that culture from. It would benefit generations to come. The bureaucrats of the state need to be as sensitive and committed as the chief minister to promote the cause of heritage.”
Akhilesh Yadav has launched multiple schemes for artisans of the state, from wavering off their loans to sanctioning special pensions. We are sure that he will take suggestions from everyone and do what is best for the people of Uttar Pradesh.
Social Samajwadi hopes that the young CM continues to do his work with the same energy, which has now been recognized even by the opposition.
