The state government of Uttar Pradesh under the Chief Minister, Akhilesh Yadav’s direction has decided to provide ‘cashless’ treatment to government servants. The CM is following suit of the central government’s policy GCHS and launching it as a pilot project in Lucknow. After all the aspects are clear, the free treatment will be propagated in the entire state.

According to the guidelines, in government hospitals, the patient will need to pay 5% of the bill generated and the rest will be taken care by the state. Whereas in private hospitals, 75% of the bill amount will be refunded, within a week.

The People’s CM is also working towards eliminating the procedure of getting the bills signed by the CMO or CMS in government hospitals. This will make the process simpler for the families of the patients. Since 2012, there has been a tremendous development in the health sector and the people are happy and gratified with this welcoming news and more.
