19th December, 2016 has been a remarkable day for the people of Uttar Pradesh. It might be a regular Monday morning for most but a lot of lives were changed today! UPCM Akhilesh Yadav inaugurated over 300 projects worth over Rs. 60,000 crore for the welfare and betterment of the people. Running on a tight schedule, the young CM attended six ceremonies in a time span of four hours. Let us have a look at his day and see what it takes to be a devoted chief minister of one of India’s largest state.


11:00 am: The Chief Minister started his day with the inauguration of a building on the premises of Ram Manohar Lohia Hospital. This means extra medical facilities to meet the requirement of the people.

11:30 am: The CM left for Mandi Parishad to launch new projects and schemes worth around Rs. 3,000 crore for farmer welfare. At the event, Akhilesh Yadav interacted with the people, heard their problems, and also launched projects for minority welfare.

12:30 pm: Akhilesh Yadav headed to Shaheed Path where he inaugurated a part of the International Cricket Stadium and an OPD of the Rs. 983-crore Cancer Hospital in CG City. At the same venue, he also launched Sanskriti School for IAS officers’ children and other projects.

And this was not it!






3:00 pm: The enthusiastic CM headed to Jai Prakash Narain International Centre where he inaugurated the main wing of Shaan-e-Awadh and other PWD projects. He distributed Rani Laxmi Bai Award to more than 300 women and Yash Bharti honour to 10 recipients. Akhilesh Yadav signed an Mou between Stanford and Uttar Pradesh’s Department of Women and Child Development to address gender equality and women empowerment.
