In the last few years, a lot of companies are looking forward to come to Uttar Pradesh, which wasn’t the case, prior to 2012. This has been possible only due to relentless efforts of the Chief Minister of Akhilesh Yadav. Last year, the foundation stone for the IT City was laid in Lucknow along with HCL Technologies. The Rs. 1500 crore project ensures employment and training of the youth along with image makeover of the state.

The good news is that the first phase of IT City is almost complete. HCL is to train the youth of the state and give them employment, post tutelage. On April 13th, 2016, the young CM met the 150 trainees who have been selected for this process and congratulated them along with their families. He claimed that there has been a major shift in the thought process of big companies who now want to set up their base in the state, apart from Noida. He added, “Due to the efforts of the Samajwadi Party government, the companies in the IT sector have had a shift in their thinking towards Uttar Pradesh…now these companies are coming forward to set up their campuses in the state capital.”

Apart from this, Akhilesh Yadav also mentioned that there are lakhs of opening for 4th class jobs and more than 20 lakh forms were filled for police jobs, which included 1 lakh women. Women empowerment and security has been one of the main focuses of his tenure and we can safely say that the Samajwadi Party is doing a great job to make it happen.
