Akhilesh Yadav, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh has taken uncountable steps to ensure the well being of the farmers in the state. The state Budget 2016-17 highlighted exceptional measures which are being accounted for, to safe guard the crops, the farms, and even to facilitate the final selling of the product. When everything is becoming transparent and approachable under UPCM’s e-Governance, farmers were not going to be left behind.

The Digital CM has launched a WhatsApp Helpline Number especially for the farmers to report any mishap in their fields. This will connect the officials directly to the farmers and will ensure that they are answerable to the people. Under this initiative, the farmers can click pictures of their crops and send them across the helpline. The Government officials have ensured to find a solution to their respective problems within 24 hours.

As per the statistics, almost 20% crops are wasted due to pests and insects; to safeguard the fields against them, the Akhilesh Government has launched Participatory Crop Surveillance and Response System (PCSRS). To avail benefits of this service, the farmers can send pictures of their crops and if the officials think they need pesticide spray or any other help, it will be provided within 48 hours.

Akhilesh Yadav has directed the district managers to get this service up and running in each state at the earliest. The WhatsApp numbers which the farmers can connect to, are 9452247111 and 9452257111.

Social Samajwadi requests everyone to spread this information and make the most of it.
