Uttar Pradesh government has announced a new Film Policy with the sole aim of projecting the cultural, mythological, historical heritage, and glorious traditions not only within the country, but also abroad through widespread publicity. The artists and the producers of the state and outside of the state will be provided a congenial atmosphere and relevant facilities under the new film policy. For ensuring availability of all the film production related facilities under a single roof, the “Film Bandhu, Uttar Pradesh” has been constituted as a nodal agency under the chairpersonship of Principal Secretary, Information. It will work in the direction of developing Uttar Pradesh as a hub of film production by generating a friendly climate and promoting film related activities in a big way in the state, thanks to Akhilesh Yadav.
Uttar Pradesh also got special mention at world famous Cannes Festival due to brilliant policies by Akhilesh Government. Since then, requests have been pouring in from national and international film makers who are interested in shooting in the state. More than 150 directors have approached the UP Film Development Council for utilizing spots in Agra, Mathura, Lucknow, Banaras, and Allahabad.
Most requested location has turned out to be Agra which is home to one of the Seven Wonders of the World-The Taj Mahal, and other spectacular monuments like Fatehpur Sikri, Agra Tomb, Mehtab Bagh etc. This initiative by the state government is going to boon multiple sectors of Uttar Pradesh, namely tourism, economy, employment, and of course in turn the overall GDP. The filmmakers can apply on the official Film Bandhu website (http://www.filmbandhuup.in/)
The sudden craze to shoot in Uttar Pradesh is because of the extremely conducive rebates given by the state government and the apt environment for the same. The locations, resources, and climatic conditions are perfect almost around the year. Akhilesh Government is making the most of these and has been able to show this lesser known side of the state to the rest of the world.
Social Samajwadi is extremely proud to share this news with the rest of the world.
