Akhilesh Yadav, the chief minister of Uttar Pradesh has demonstrated true ‘Samajwadi’ ideologies ever since he came into power. He has proved that no part of the society will be left unattended. From organizing mid day meals even during summer break to making Mother’s Day special, he has done multiple things to make the people emotionally and practically secure.

After launching Samajwadi Pension Plan and Samajwadi Shravan Yatra for the elderly, Akhilesh Yadav has now decided to celebrate Grand Parents’ Day every year. This day will be celebrated in all government schools and colleges on the first of October. The initiative has been launched by the Uttar Pradesh government to ensure that the elderly lead a secure, peaceful, and a respectable life, as deserved.

On the Grand Parents’ Day, the maternal and paternal grandparents will be invited for activities which they can enjoy. For this, special instructions have been issued to Social Welfare Department, who will ensure that the program flows seamlessly. Another reason behind this celebration is to improve inter-family relationships and make the youth more aware of their responsibilities towards elders of the family. To educate the youngsters about the problems faced by the old, reading material is being prepared by the government.

Social Samajwadi is extremely excited for the Grand Parents’ Day and are proud of our young CM for taking this step.
