Today Samajwadi Party completed its 25 years of existence and in order to celebrate the ideologies and their leaders, they came together at Janeshwar Mishra Park for Rajat Jayanti. It was attended by UPCM Akhilesh Yadav, SP Supremo Mulayam Singh, Party President Shivpal Singh, RJD chief Lalu Prasad Yadav, former Prime Minister Deve Gowda, famous lawyer Ram Jethmalani and other eminent ministers. Hordes of Samajwadi followers flacked the ground to pay their respect to the political party which came into existence in 1990.

The youth brigade was excited to hear Akhilesh Yadav’s speech where he spoke about the development projects undertaken by the party in the last 4.5 years. These included infrastructure development, Lucknow-Agra Expressway, cycle tracks, laptop distribution, Samajwadi Pension, Lucknow Metro apart from other things. He vowed to follow Samajwadi ideologies for the rest of his life and ensured the upliftment of the state and its people.

But the icing on the cake was his reply to ‘How will he deal with opposition, both internal and external?’ To this, UPCM Akhilesh Yadav said, “Ladunga lekin maan nahi bhuloonga. Main har parishram ke liye taiyaar hun. (I will fight but never disrespect anyone. I am ready for perseverance).” This reply was received by the cheering and applauding Samajwadis which just goes on to show how loved this young leader is. He thanked the people for joining him and welcomed him to the new era of the party.

Akhilesh Yadav is truly the people’s favourite and this was reaffirmed at Samajwadi Rajat Jayanti.
