Akhilesh Yadav, the young chief minister of Uttar Pradesh has dedicated the budget 2016-17 to farmers and youth. This is also reflects in his new schemes and policies. From launching Sewa Yojan, an online portal to find employment in the state, to tripling the scholarship amount, a great deal is done and more is underway. To take the Sewa Yojan portal a step ahead, a Mega Job Fair is being organized in the state capital, Lucknow. This will be a great opportunity for the educated unemployed youth of the state.

More than 50 companies will be present at Mega Job Fair which is being organized by the Akhilesh Yadav-led Uttar Pradesh government and Sewa Yojan department from 16th to 20th May, 2016. These companies will be from all over the country and are looking at hiring 8,000 people. They will be from various sectors which will include IT, Pharma, Hospitality, Retail, Education etc.

To be a part of this, one will have to apply online on the official website (http://www.sewayojan.up.nic.in/) by 14th May. If there is a huge response, the applications will also be accepted offline. People from all over the state are flooding the department headquarters to register themselves because they need to be on the system to be able to attend the event. Seeing the anticipated participants, the Mega Job Fair will be held at multiple locations simultaneously: State ITI’s Building at Aliganj, Indira Gandhi National Open University at Telibagh, and more can be found online.

At present, there are more than 18 lakh subscribers on the official Sewa Yojan website, which has 8,767 private companies and 17,552 government departments registered. The unemployed can choose the company as per their requirements and visit their stalls during the Mega Job Fair which will start at 10 am on the above mentioned dates.
