Ola is an Indian online transportation company which provides cabs for people to travel from one point to another, within the city. The residents of Uttar Pradesh were overjoyed, when Ola Cabs was introduced in the state, after huge success in metropolitan states. But it just got better, when they signed an MoU with the state government to generate entrepreneurship opportunities and skill training for 50,000 men and women in UP.

Thanks to the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Akhilesh Yadav whose relentless efforts for better infrastructure and development of the state, made this possible. It is because of growth in these sectors that companies are ready to move base to the state and contribute to its progress. “The state of Uttar Pradesh is growing as an economic centre for the country faster than ever before. The compounded annual growth rate of UP in the last three years has been higher than the national growth rate. Technology and skilling are two major areas we would like to focus on to further accelerate the impact on the state’s economy,” said the People’s CM while signing the MoU.

The state will also see additional services from the company which will include Ola Auto, Ola Share, and Ola Shuttle which will provide reliable and convenient mobility to the residents. Pranay Jivrajka, Chief Operating Officer at Ola said, “We are proud to partner with the Uttar Pradesh Government. We aim to create more than 50,000 employment and entrepreneurial opportunities in the state by investing in skill development of youth.” “Ola’s commitment to building mobility for citizens by using cutting edge mobile technology and by enabling entrepreneurship and skilling will be invaluable. We are extremely delighted to bring them onboard as part of this MoU to skill and create opportunities for over 50,000 youth in the state of Uttar Pradesh,” added Akhilesh Yadav.
