A lot of times, we overlook the real life heroes around us, leave alone acknowledging their efforts. But not Uttar Pradesh’s Chief Minister, Akhilesh Yadav. He reminds us of all the ‘special and inspiring people’ we meet in our day to day lives and how we must strive to do these little acts of kindness to make our state a better place.

People’s CM in the last 4 years has been an aide to multiple individuals. He has never refrained from extending his help, financially or otherwise. In lieu of this, the young CM organized a felicitation ceremony at his residence and handed over cash rewards to regular people who inspired others with their fortitude or acts of bravery.

He thanked them for their contribution towards the society while handing over the gifts. He handed over a cheque of Rs. 5 lakh to the young prodigy, Sushma Verma from Lucknow, who has made it to the Limca Book of Records for being the country’s youngest PG holder. Hirendra Singh of Noida was awarded Rs. 5 lakh for his will to study, in spite of all odds. Similarly, Ramjeet Yadav of Mirzapur was given Rs. 5 lakh for rescuing over a dozen children from a capsized boat.

Rajkumar, Sanjay, Shiv Kumar, and Pintu from Balia were also given Rs. 1 lakh each for rescuing a 6 feet long crocodile which lost way into a village from a nearby canal and hence, saved the villagers too. Krishna Kumar’s family was also present to see the old typist receive a cheque of Rs. 1 lakh for keeping his head high, after being ill treated by security personnel.

Thank you, Sir, for helping us recognizes these heroes and reminding us that each one of us is capable of great valour.
