To uplift the standard of Education in the state, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister, Akhilesh Yadav has taken yet another remarkable step. The state government has decided to establish one senior secondary school each in 18 different districts of the state. These model schools will have two sections each from class 6th to 12th and will be affiliated with UP Board. The first ‘Samajwadi Abhinav School’ was inaugurated in Dandupur, Allahabad on 23rd April, 2016 by the young CM and the rest are to follow soon.
Initially this scheme was launched by the Central Government which promised to launch 6000 schools in the entire country, but was later withdrawn. To not let the people down, Akhilesh Yadav took the onus to open schools in UP using funds from the state fund. “We have tried to provide you all the facilities. Now it is up to you to take advantage of the same. You might be able to make Dandupur famous,” said the chief minister while inaugurating the newly-constructed school.
Samajwadi Abhinav School is co-ed and provides separate hostel facility for both girls and boys, without any discrimination. The admission till 9th standard will be on first come first serve basis and post that will be based on an entrance exam. The school is Hindi medium but emphasis will be laid on English language and to ensure a good faculty, there will be various levels of interview for the teachers.
