A small village in Noida just got saved from a Hindu-Muslim riot because of the mutual understanding amongst the people. A deceased Muslim was not given burial land by a few Hindu people and this lead to certain unrest in the locality. Let’s see how Mahaveer Singh, a commoner saved the day.
Mahmood, a 65-year-old man from Ilahabas Village in Noida died a natural death but was denied a place to rest in peace by a few Hindus. The body was not cremated for almost 24 hours creating unrest amongst the people. When this news reached Mahaveer, he immediately came forward to help. He had an unused piece of land, passed onto by his forefathers; he donated that land to the Muslim community and asked them to make a funeral place for the people.
This 1200 square feet of land was donated by Mahaveer and as soon people saw this act, more Hindua came forward and donated 1000 square meter land to the Muslim Community. Such a selfless act from the people of Uttar Pradesh have only reaffirmed our faith in the Ganga-Jamuna Tehzeeb for which we are famous for.
Social Samajwadi would like to salute the spirit of people of Uttar Pradesh and hopes that people all over the world learn the act of brotherhood from them.
