It is a known fact that Akhilesh Yadav, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh is a nature lover and often referred to as the Green CM. From building a butterfly park in the state to making a world record by planting the maximum number of trees in a day, he has done quite a few things to preserve, enhance, and conserve the state’s green quotient. Very recently, another feat was accredited to the young CM; ISO certification was given to the Nawab Wajid Ali Shah Zoological Garden better known as Lucknow Zoo.

This certification ensures that business standards are efficient and meet the international standards. It also means that the balance of the nature is not hampered by a certain organizational body. Most companies and industries wish to have this prestigious quality certification onboard but it is only awarded to the best.

UPCM Akhilesh Yadav was granted ISO Certification for the Lucknow Zoo by Principal Secretary, forest and wildlife, Sanjeev Saran on 19th May, 2016. This accreditation has been awarded for the excellent maintenance of the zoo, recreational measures, animal care, forest wealth, adequate research and training solutions under Akhilesh Government.Image 211_Social Samajwadi

Our Green CM was extremely happy with this certification and expressed it on a social media platform. He also mentioned that there will be more improvements in the Lucknow Zoo to make it bigger and better. Apart from this, Akhilesh Yadav has also decided to plant 6 crore saplings across the state on the 1st of July to break his previous record and ensure that the future of Uttar Pradesh is well secured.

The state capital zoo has also been seeing a lot of tourists who are paying a visit to the Sting Ray- a rare fish from Thailand which can be exclusively found here in India. The CM decided to breed this fish in the state to improve the dipping population. Image 211.2_Social Samajwadi
