In 2015, Akhilesh Yadav, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh organized a program – ‘Yuvaon ko, Yuvaon ki kalam Se’ along with UP Skill Development Mission and Bharat Abhyuday Foundation (BAF), at his official residence. This event was attended by students of various government colleges, the chief secretary Alok Ranjan, Minister of State for Skill Development Prof. Abhishek Mishra along with many other prominent figures.
At the event, Akhilesh Yadav interacted with the youngsters and gave away 50 laptops as appreciation to those who gave good suggestions to ensure better training. He also felicitated 6 teachers for providing individual help in this endeavour. The People’s CM handed over 100 appointment letters to trained women under the Skill Development Missions and launched a detailed book about it- ‘Uttar Pradesh Skill Development Mission’ along with BAF’s official website a guide to the unemployed youth.
The Minister of State for Skill Development signed a MoU with Cafe Coffee Day, Bangalore, G4S Gurgaon, Super House Kanpur, etc. and exchanged documents under which 60,000 young men and women will be given vocational training. The Uttar Pradesh State Tourism Corporation signed a MoU to give priority to meritorious pass outs and provide them with job opportunities.
The young CM expressed happiness and said, “State government is making all efforts to provide jobs to youngsters. If the youth of the state are imparted training, made skilled and given job opportunities, the state can not only become a front-ranking state in the world but can also leave behind many countries on the index of progress.”
