Akhilesh Yadav, the young CM of Uttar Pradesh has always emphasised on the importance of education for one and all. He has always said, “We cannot progress without education. All the countries, which have progressed economically, first ensured strengthening of educational system.” To further intensify his plans of educating the state, Samajwadi Party has come up with numerous schemes and policies to help the underprivileged to overcome problems and achieve success. He has relentlessly tried to provide any support needed by the youth to grow and sustain themselves.
In 2015, Akhilesh Yadav, felicitated seven students from different districts of the state who attained good ranks in the IIT entrance exams and gave each of them a laptop and Rs. one lakh, as a mark of recognition of their success and an aide to their future. Felicitating the meritorious students at his official residence, the Chief Minister said, “Mr. Vishnu Gupta from Sultanpur, Mr. Kapoor Saroj and Mr. Shubham Yadav from Pratapgarh, Mr. Muzammil Khan and Mr. Alok Maurya from Sonebhadra, Mr. Neelesh Yadav from Amethi and Mr. Shashank Awasthi from Rae Bareli were exemplary examples for other students to emulate.”
He also highlighted Kapoor Saroj who attained fifth rank in the SC category despite having poor eye sight while and Shashank Awasthi for not only being selected in the IIT but for getting 97 per cent marks in class XII exams. The Chief Minister while lauding the success of the students also wished them all the best for a bright future.
Praising the hard work of these meritorious students, the People’s CM spoke about how these students had fought adverse financial and social conditions and achieved their goals despite several road blocks in their way. He appealed to these students to help weak and poor students to succeed like them. The CM also expressed hope and said, “The Samajwadi Government has always been appreciative of talent, merit, and hard work and assures the student fraternity of extending all possible help in future too. The youth has an important role in development of the state and their success in future will bring laurels to Uttar Pradesh.”
Also present on the occasion were Political Pension Minister Mr. Rajendra Chowdhary, Science & Technology Minister Mr. Manoj Pandey, Principal Secretary (Information) Mr. Navneet Sehgal, other officers, and families of the meritorious students.
