According to The World Bank Report, “Poor infrastructure impedes a nation’s economic growth and international competitiveness. Insufficient infrastructure also represents a major cause of loss of quality of life, illness and death.” Infrastructure is very important to help a state grow and Akhilesh Yadav, the young CM of Uttar Pradesh was well aware of it at the time he came to governance in 2012. Since then, he has been working to make the state better connected and infrastructure-rich.

After the much appreciated Lucknow-Agra Expressway, initiated by Akhilesh Yadav, there are other mammoth development projects coming up in the state. Very soon, the citizens will be able to travel on a toll-free road, all the way from Lucknow to Bareilly, via Hardoi. This project is to cost Rs. 716 crore.  Apart from this, the state government is also widening Lucknow-Palia State Highway (SH-25) and making paved shelter from Hardoi to Sandila.

There is a national highway present from Lucknow to Bareilly, which charges the travellers at multiple tolls but this State Highway will help people save the extra stops and money. Work is going on for beautification and maintenance of existing highways to make travelling enjoyable and easy.

Because of such connectivity in the state, Uttar Pradesh has seen a massive boost in the economy, since 2012. The credit for which can be easily given to the People’s CM.
