Lucknow has very recently been declared as the winner of Fast Track Smart City Competition by the Central Government. To take it a notch higher, the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh Akhilesh Yadav has declared some interesting reforms for the City Bus Stops and Railway Stations. These development schemes will help the passengers travel securely without any inconvenience. Rs. 10 crore has been issued for the same.
Regional Transport Office has issued orders to the Municipal Corporation to start work at the earliest. Head of Lucknow Municipality, Udayraj Singh, confirmed that the organization will personally build the new bus stops. Land for the same has been recognized in certain areas. The first hi tech bus stop will be constructed in the Nishatganj area of the state capital, near NBRI.
These bus stops will be equipped with proper shelter for the people to wait; it will protect them from harsh weather conditions. There will be provision for passengers to sit comfortably along with food dispensers. Eco-toilets will be established at each bus stop. And to top it all, there will be an information kiosk to give details about the route of the bus, its timings, and the cost of travel.
Thanks to Akhilesh Yadav, Uttar Pradesh will soon be able to enjoy many such smart services!
