Akhilesh Yadav, the Digital CM of Uttar Pradesh has left no stone unturned to bridge the digital gap in the state. After the widely successful Laptop Distribution Scheme, e-governance initiatives, and other endeavours he has given yet another digital gift to the state. After railway stations and selected bus stations of Uttar Pradesh, Akhilesh Government is all set to provide free Wi-Fi in buses by UPSRTC.
Starting this month, all passengers traveling in state buses will be able to avail this service at no extra-cost. This initiative has been launched by Akhilesh Yadav to ensure a better travel experience in the state, promote tourism, and also to promote digitization of the state. The travellers will be able to enjoy high speed 4G network on the move to watch movies, stay engaged on social media platforms, listen to music, or even continue their work online.
A private internet provider company has been hired by the government to set up free Wi-Fi in the buses. Trial has already started in selected routes from Lucknow to Delhi. Any problem or fluctuation in the network is being eradicated before being launched to the people of Uttar Pradesh. Once the service is launched, the password protected wi-fi will be enabled by the bus conductor during the journey. The prices of the tickets are not being hiked to accommodate this feature.
Social Samajwadi is thrilled with this news and cannot wait to try out the services.
