Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister has achieved great milestones in providing education to every child in the state. From launching multiple initiatives to keep the youngsters motivated to inaugurating colleges and schools in all districts. Akhilesh Yadav has taken it a notch higher by his new scheme to convert all model schools of the state into government inter colleges.
To begin the process, it will first be implemented in 6 districts – Hathras, Kaushambhi, Mau, Jaunpur, Kushinagar, and Shravasti. Akhilesh Yadav has directed Jitendra Kumar, heading intermediate education sector in the state to begin work on the same, at the earliest.
Akhilesh Government had planned on 193 model schools across the state, out of which 142 are ready. These are functional under PPP model. Alongside, 18 Abhinav Vidyalaya were also constructed which are residential schools. The UP CM inaugurated them last month and are running successfully.
The list of model schools which will be converted into intermediate colleges:
- Gutehra in Hathras
- Ausa in Kaushambhi
- Sultanipur in Mau
- Adhanpur in Jaunpur
- Manikaura in Kushinagar
- Gabbapur in Shravasti
As soon as phase one is complete more schools will be selected for upgradation.
